Hello everyone,
Sorry about the long period of delay between our previous blog post and this one. Its been a busy few weeks here at
Italian World. Not only do we have our new website but we have also been getting ready for summer with the number of visitors to our shop increasing steadily.
I asked Ellen (the lady in charge) to write a short update on what has been happening at
Italian World recently, here is what she had to say:
“June has been a very busy month in the shop and also on the website. A group of Italian students staying in Abergele arranged a visit to our shop and were very interested in all our
Italian products.
Matty was in attendance answering their questions about the history of
Italian World and they were also very interested in all the Italian products they saw especially the
papier mache Venetian masks and the popular
Murano jewellery pendants.
A lot of repeated customers visited our shop this month two came as far as
Australia. ‘amazing’ We had a delivery of
Murano pendants this week some replacement and also startling new designs complete with necklace and are selling as fast as they are coming through the door. George the peacock are even interested in them as he waits for his morning biscuit from Matty.
I have been very busy attending to the website, improving on photos, and adding new products that will be appearing on the website as soon as possible.
We are awaiting for the arrival of our new stock of
Bassano ceramics that is overdue due to the fact that their factory was hit by lightning during one of the very bad thunderstorm they normally have in Italy this time of year and has delayed the production of the
ceramics as they are all made by hand. Watch this space for the news of the delivery of our hand made in Italy Pinocchio.”
As always you can share your comments and leave feedback, either email us directly by going to the “
contact us” page or leave a comment below.
Have a great week
Regards
David.
